| Martin has been learning the 5 string banjo for a couple of years and has become progressively obsessive and nerdy about all things BLUEGRASS. He is off to a "Banjo Boot Camp" this weekend and on his return he will be hosting Hereford's first BLUEGRASS PICKING SESSION at the Priory. Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, this will be the first session of a regular event on the first Wednesday of every month. If you are at all interested in bluegrass or play a bluegrass instrument (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, double bass, dobro) you should come down and check it out. Bluegrass sessions are similar to Irish sessions, the main difference being that the instruments take it in turns to improvise around the tune, as opposed to all playing the tune at the same time [much more exciting, in my humble opinion...] and to boot, you will get the occasional song as well [not common in Irish sessions]. Put on your dungarees, shove a piece of straw in y'mouth & come on down, y'all and see what all the fuss is about.... [quote: "A'ntree?
