Where the Sun Shines
 Oren, posted 31 May 2007 09:35 AM   » Blog comments 0
Diatribe attempts to re-define that elusive quality we call personal freedom. Is it an illusion, or just a few short steps away...?
WARSUX

Bob composed and produced the song, and plays keyboards, bass and guitar. Oren wrote and sang the lyrics, and plays, er...guitar. Our motto: better to massacre a song than to shoot people you don't even know... Take it home for .75BP and make your own mix-and-match "protest song" album.
"Wild"

Bob Harvey wrote the song and plays keyboards, ddrumddude(Chad) plays the electronic drum kit, and Oren thrashes wildly. What's 5/4 time? What's fusion?
What was I thinkin'?

A song about not beating yourself up over an honest mistake. The human dichotomy: such energetic, creative beings, but prone to learn by trial and error.
The Mojo

"Looking for the Mojo" is a song originally introduced on my own site, but Bob and I have reworked the tracks to bring it up to his production standards, so it belongs on Diatribe, now. Stream it hi-fi, or get your own hotter-than-CD 128Kbit copy for $.75 euro.
Diatribe takes a look at our world - one idea at a time.

Bob Harvey is some kind of musical prodigy who knows his way around the trumpet, keyboard (ok,ok, and a bunch of other instruments!) and has an uncanny way with digital audio. Oren Fisher is some kind of musical misfit who knows his way around six strings and has a vaguely disturbing ability to ferret out the bizarre. Diatribe is all about an examination of ideas, and together with a few other socially challenged seekers, we hope to make your day just a tad more interesting. The first tune we want to bring your way is all about the wood from the Louisiana swamp ash tree, and the addictions it can foster. Bob, who can pack more quality sound into a MP3 file than anyone I know, has conjured up his unique version of a 128Kbps MP3 download, and you can take it home for $.75 Euro.
