| " n 1998 I started recording on a 4 track with the intention of writing complete songs on my own, the first couple of demo tapes were under the name - The Bleeding. The style was death metal, around the same time I recorded another demo under T - the style there was really rock with stronger melody hooks than what was done with The Bleeding project.
I wanted to blend the two into something else, heavy - yet no
stranger to more accessable melody lines. In early 2000 I started working on the integration of the two styles - that recording was created under no name. For almost a year the demo sat around, then in late 2001 I met Joe Harrison and Dave Austin in Mobile, Alabama.
There was an immediate connection and we soon started playing together, Joe on vocals and Dave on the drums. The first songs were straight off the demo recorded in 2000, there were several new songs written over the course of 2002. We needed a name and after thinking it over we all agreed on Wickerman. We added a bass player for a short period of time during the summer, Danny. The original demo from 2000 was grandfathered into the name of Wickerman andstands as the first Wickerman recordings.
Late in 2002 Dave sold his drum kit - no new kit replaced it. Obviously that puts a damper on playing anything beyond an acoustic. Then Joe was striken ill and at deaths door for a period of time. I was also in the process of moving from the area, we all parted ways in late 2002.
Aside from a couple songs recorded at the end of 2002 with Dave around to provide input on, the project went silent until 2005, when I started the first full length project for Wickerman - Dawn of Orion.
Completed in September 2006, the project had limited vocals. In early 2007 the next project started; A Million Sorrows, where I am now taking over vocals. That project was merged with another, Revelations, to create the final result - self titled, Wickerman - June 2008.
