description

  • Sax / Frottoir will use any suitable microphones on stands as provided by you.

  • Bass and Acoustic Guitar require DI boxes (quarter inch jack outs).

  • Squeeze-box has internal mic (Jack socket) DI box needed.

  • Boost “low mids” to get a Zydeco Squeeze-box sound. Ensure bass end heard.

  • Harmonica (“Harp”) “Bluesblaster” microphone and pre-amp may be used requiring 2nd DI box. I need separate microphone stand with regular microphone holder for “Bluesblaster”. If any problems setting this up then I can just play harp through vocal microphone.

  • Drummer is left handed – please advise us whether suitable kit will be supplied.

  • NB; if this is a “Whiskey River Boys” (DUO or TRIO) event then Aidan will  use whistle, harmonica, mandolin in addition to squeezebox and vocals. Harmonica will be played directly into a vocal microphone. Martin will also use a banjo. There may be a fiddle player.  All musicians performing require vocal mics / stands.

  •  Banjo will require C1000 (or similar) on mic stand. Mandolin (& fiddle if used) need DI’s. Whistle requires echo on mic. Acoustic guitar and squeezebox require DI's as usual.
