HISTORY: After 12 years with a successful 6 piece Rock n Roll band I wanted to do something less stressful and formed SLACKWATER. A friend mentioned Angie and that she had a great voice and played guitar. After hearing her sing I knew it would work out. One day at the local health club Jim Elbin asked me what would be a good tube amp. I said why don't you come up to my house as I had just built a clone of a Fender Tweed Delux 5E3 and give it a listen. We jammed for over an hour and I knew that we had chemistry so I asked if he'd like to join this band I was putting together and the rest is history. SLACKWATER became a trio and we like to say we are "the biggest little band in Idaho".

SLACKWATER IS A BLUES/ROCK TRIO. SLACKWATER was formed about 5 years ago and we are going strong. We play good ol' ROCK N ROLL / BLUES. We also do some country rock. Our music is very danceable.We have now added slide steel guitar  and some harmonica to our sound for that sweet blues and country sound we all love to hear. We pride ourselves on our vocals and our total sound. We have a unique way of getting that full band sound.

Greg Lewis is the founder of SLACKWATER. GREG plays guitar, steel guitar and harmonica. He sings lead on most of the songs and backing vocal on the rest. We are a unique band for a trio that has this much instrumentation.

Angie Massey has a great voice for the CARRIE UNDERWOOD style songs. this gives SLACKWATER its country rock side. ANGIE can throw in the high harmonies backing for the beatles and other classic songs we do. Angie is also a good rythm guitar player that adds a lot to our sound

Jim Elbin is a great rythm/lead guitar player. Jim gives slackwater its blues based groove and is very good at it. He sings lead on a many songs and adds the backing vocals to give that full vocal sound. Jim also built his own Tweed Delux 5E3 and some of his FX pedals.
