Wolfram Gruss
biography
"PNFA stands for "Popular Nightmare Folk Art" which refers to the novel "Virtual Light" by William Gibson. In the novel this is the name for a certain kind of decorative art, you'd find in living rooms for example, that assumes to be extremely beautiful, but is in fact made of the remains of humans, who died some hundred years ago. A contrast, that is reflected in the music PNFA makes. There is hard and fast Drum 'n' Bass, but also beautiful, deep downtempo and jazzy tracks. It might become really beasty from time to time, good working on the dancefloor but there is always a quality inside that makes you able to listen to the tune also in your living room. And that's the point: music that works both ways- for your whole life. "
