The idea behind this song was to bring a 16th century sound back into our world, kind of like saving an endangered species.. ..or like restoring an ancient tapestry..updating it just a little, but not too much.. ..just enough to wrap a Stratocaster around it. |

This one just didn't want to let go of me. Once I started playing it, I couldn't stop. The title just arrived on the scene of its own accord. It was begging at the door, and not having the heart to turn it away, I opened up to it. Without a moments hesitation, it moved in and made itself at home..and so now I am pleased that I can bring you this Basket Full of Stars. |

Once upon a time, long ago, the world was a simpler place. People embraced some rather grand ideas of what was noble, honest, compassionate, and true. Life was an adventure filled with enormous possibilities. If we pay attention to those less traveled spaces inside us, then when we happen upon the FootPrint of a Unicorn, we will be filled with the delightful realization, that there must indeed be something that made that FootPrint. |

The music had already been written, when I woke up dreaming about this song You know what it's like, trying to recapture a dream.. I couldn't quite remember it, but the feelings didn't leave me, so immeditately I went to work. I didn't want to change the music, it already had it's existance..but the title suggested a lyrical poem. Once the poem was woven into the music, I was happy..it turned out to be a dream come true, literally. |
